BIOGRAPHY
Kim Jae-hyung is a photographer based in Seoul, Korea. From an early age, he had a keen interest in people's concerns and unique social phenomena, and began taking photographs with the aim of recording them.
He majored in photography at 'Seoul Institute of the Arts' and worked as an assistant at fashion photographer 'Ryoo Hyung-won' studio, where he learned and was influenced by technology and artistry. Afterwards, he moved to New York and became obsessed with the diversity of ethnic groups, fashion, and art. He recruited and photographed people on the streets, accumulating concerns and experiences about people. He has built his own world of work through work on subcultures, unclear identities, and social minorities.
Currently, he is shooting portraits and interviews of socially influential figures and artists through various media in Korea, and is working as a portrait photographer through collaboration with people in various fields.
